"IGN.COM's No 1 Western of all Time"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I had not heard of this movie, but trusted IGN.com Top Westerns List enough to buy it. What a watch. A young Charles Bronson. Henry Fonda in a bad boy role. This movie had it all. Not my personal No 1 Western, but certainly a rivetting watch. Worth it to see Charles Bronsons performance alone.

The all time cult western with perfect audio and remasted images make this a must see. 10 out of 10.

"One of the BEST westerns!"
5 stars"

Known as one of the offensively misnamed “spaghetti westerns”; which are better than most American westerns. Once Upon a Time in the West is about as good as any western A great cast and a very good screenplay, make for excellent evenings entertainment.

Description

Now, for the first time, Sergio Leone's original uncut version of this monumental epic can be seen. The picture itself is as big as its Monument Valley locations, as grand as its fine, distinguished cast, as tough and bawdy as every kid imagines the Old West. Henry Fonda plays the blackest character of his long career, and he's utterly convincing as Frank, the ruthless murderous psychopath who suffers no conscience pangs after annihilating an entire family. Jason Robards is the half-breed falsely accused of the terrible slaughter. Charles Bronson plays The Man, who remembers how his brother was savagely tortured.

Brilliantly directed by Sergio Leone, this glorious picture re-established the Western's significance to cinema art.
