5 stars "One of my top 50 games"

This game is a really good game, mixing the RPG element with Love and Farming. this game is definitely one of my top 50 games.

Some people may be put off by the fact that it's a harvest moon game, which mostly symbolizes: Farming. I have one sentence to say to you people:

PLAY THIS GAME.

STORY:
There has been a sort of thematic concept behind each of the titles in this series, the first set the series into a fantasy setting, the second one begged the question, “What would it be like if you went to school in this world?” and the third one has brought us to a new front: “What about the monsters?”

Rune Factory 3 starts like all the other RF titles. Your character has amnesia, wanders into town, gets helped by a nice girl.
This time, your protagonist, is in a bit of an awkward situation. The town has some rather strong opinions concerning monsters, and seeing as your protagonist was in the shape of a golden sheep when he arrived, you can see the irony, and a possible subtext about inherent fear towards the outsider in society.

ART:
I really like the Rune Factory art, as they are all nicely drawn and are cutesy/cartoon like.
…I think that's all I need to say about the art.

GRAPHICS:
One of the more common points of dissent with the previous titles was about graphical glitches. Here's one of the big improvements. In the second game, if 3 or more sprites were on the screen, there was a ‘slightly’ noticeable slowing of the game, and by ‘slightly’ I mean a good laggy appearance one might expect with a low ping for an MMO. There seems to be no problem with the amount of sprites on screen, as you will occasionally enter parts of town and have literally everyone running around on screen with no slowing at all.

REPLAYABILITY:

Many different marriage candidates, different weapon or magic styles, different play styles, different difficulty settings. OF COURSE it has replayability. Even at that, the game doesn't technically end when you complete the story, it's a Harvest Moon game after all.

Buy this game. It's a really good game with good elements into it. It's really good, for me.

4 stars "Good!"

This game was shorter than the previous Rune Factory games which I don't mind… I was just expecting more. The controls are good, graphics are nice, sound is lovely and voice-acting isn't as irritating as Suikoden Tierkreis.
The characters of the game irk me a little and this game is very character-driven… There's no “family” everyone comes from a broken family. EVERYONE. There's no mama AND papa. There's either mama OR papa. Or just grandparents. Even then, it's just grandpa OR grandma. Or no family at all. Natsume do have a habit of doing this but this is overkill. At least have ONE “proper” family.
But enough about that… The interesting thing about this game and I think it's a first for Natsume is that… The weather changes throughout the day. It's not consistently sunny, there's even cloudy. Theres summer hurricanes and winter typhoons. Also, tip: don't bother planting crops in summer. It's not worth your time or money. Just catch fish, turn it into sashimi and sell it.
