5 stars "Pretty damn sweet"

I was a little skeptical about the new generation of pokemon, but after playing the game, it is pretty fun, It actually feels like a new game and not just another repeat (which is really how all the recent pokemon games feel to me)
Even though some of the new pokemon just look wierd, there is some pretty awesome ones, design wise and type wise.
Keen to get white in english when it's released.
I'm digging it :)

4 stars "WARNING - Title may not be 100% region free!"

Be aware that Pokemon Black and White is a DSi enhanced title!

If the Japanese version has anything to go by, we are in a grey zone as to wether this title will work on a New Zealand bought DSi or DSi XL.

Japanese Pokemon Black/White WILL NOT WORK on a New Zealand DSi/DSi XL, it will work fine on a the original DS or the DS Lite. But a DSi/XL will not allow you to even launch the game! (it wont even appear when you insert the cart)

We know that the DSi/XL has a region set to aus/nz by looking at the settings in the console, because of this, what we do not know, is if this US copy of Black/White will work or not.

Therefore:
If you have a DSi/XL bought in New Zealand: This title might not be playable!
If you have a DS or DS Lite: Everything is ok!

The DSi enhanced feature is simply video chat, so if you don't mind missing out on that feature and have both a DS/L and a DSi/XL, then feel free to purchase this import.

Otherwise, wait until confirmation on the region locking for DSi/XL between the US cart and NZ console!

5 stars "Much better than expected"

I was really quite surprized with Black and white, Not only does it have a strong plot the game has 150 new pokemon. You cannot use or catch any of the originals until the end of the game.

All in all this is a very good game, if only the predacessors where just as good

5 stars "Fantastic addition to the Pokemon franchise"

I've been a Pokemon game fan since the beginning and each time it gets better. But this time they have out-done themselves. The graphics are amazing and the story line and game play make it a really enjoyable experience. I started playing this game and found myself unable to put it down. I highly recommend this to kids/teens of all ages.
