4 stars "Excellent protection and easy application at an excellent price!"

About a week ago I made a terrible mistake. Instead of waiting for Mighty Ape to get this wonderful product back in stock, I bought an unbranded screen protector from an importer on TradeMe. To cut a long story short, THAT screen protector was completely useless. The instructions were in Korean, and the film for the lower screen was in fact too large. This product is in complete contrast to my intial purchase. The application was easy, and the air bubbles were easily removed using the soft card provided.

Some tips for application:

  1. (for the hardcore) Steam up your bathroom. The water molecules will attach to the dust particles in the air and bring them down to earth so they don't get between you and a perfect screen protector application. Complete the application in your steamed up bathroom.
  2. Clean the screens thoroughly using the microfibre cloth provided. You don't want any grease or dust on the screens.
  3. (optional – own risk) Put a single drop of soapy water on the screen you are applying the protector too. BE CAREFUL. Use only a single drop, and don't put in too much soap!
  4. Peel off ~1" of the screen protector film marked “1 – Peel of During application” and begin to carefully apply it to the screen. Use the softcard to ‘iron’ the protector on, peeling off the film until it is completely applied.
  5. Use the softcard to remove any remaining air-bubbles. Push firmly (but not too hard) until they reach the edge of the protector and dissappear completly.
  6. Wipe up any of the water that has seeped out. There shouldn't be much. Also, remove the outer film.

Perfect! This is what I did and it worked a charm. Highly recommended product. Thanks Mighty Ape!

1 stars "it was bad."

When i followed the instructions and peeled off the cover I found that the screen protector was so sticky, it had too much gum. The lens protector was almost imposssible to get off and it had a lot of gum as well.

1 stars "I threw it away"

I followed the instructions and when I tried to remove sticker #2, it left a lot of glue smudge that I couldn't remove at all… rendering the protective film useless. I've thrown everything away and will buy another from another brand.
On the plus side, the cloth is ok, but technically you could get something similar for free at the optometrist.
