"Marth, where have you been my strategic gaming life?"
I first came across Fire Emblem while playing Smash Bros Melee on GameCube a few years ago. Marth was this amazing character with superb moves and a great look. Looking at his bio I discovered he was from a Japan only title I'd never heard of. Seeing it preowned in a few stores I always wanted to try it, but I didn't want to waste money on an unknown title that never really made it outside the border. What a waste of time that could have been spent organising my armies, leveling up my weapons and making agonising class choices. Yes the style of game has been done before; but Fire Emblem takes strategy to a beautiful place full of romance, fire, emotion and bloodshed. Marth and I have been close in Smash Bros, but this is Marth as he always should have been.
