To be brutally honest after watching the movie I was highly doubting that the series could be that bloody. I was pleasantly surprised for that was not the case. The first episode had more blood, fighting and story then most modern movies. Well animated, up to date animation, horrible villians, awesome hero.

A fantastic continuation for those who loved the original essentials movie ninja scroll. this nice little series follows it beautifully, with all the gore, violence and yet laid back characters we know and love.
