I only had two fan connectors on my motherboard and as I was running a very hot AMD CPU required extra cooling.
With a new purchase of a windowed case I wanted less cables to be showing so purchased one of these to reduce the number of connectors/splitters I was running.
So what's it like – well it's tiny – about the size of a matchbox for those who remember how we used to light fire.
It comes with some Velcro tape and you can easily stick it to the back of your motherboard or wherever you wish in your case.
I had 5 fans connecting to this – you can also plug in your led lights as well.
As a hub it worked flawlessly – it reduced clutter in my case and enabled me to more easily add fans.
I've read some reviews where you can connect this to a fan control unit but as I had low speed fans it wasn't necessary for me.
Removing your fans is a bit tough – they go in fairly deep and it is tempting to yank on the cables to get them out – don't. I used a small pair of needle nose pliers to remove the fan connections and they came out smoothly with that.
For what it does it is perfect – a low priced, tiny hub – well done NZXT!
