I read a lot of reviews on eBay and Amazon before buying this product that were mostly about the fading of the bag. After just 3 days of use I can see that this is a big issue, but I personally find it just gives the bag more character. It is in fact designed to fade quickly, even says this on the tag. This means it will look loved in days.
Reviews I read about it also claimed that the bag had a “fishy” smell that never disappeared. Personally I found it to just be that “new bag smell” and I can't say I mind it at all.
Another thing to consider is that the colours of the print aren't as vibrant as I expected.. They have more of an authentic yellowed comic book colouring to them that I soon got over and learnt to love.
As Mighty Ape doesn't give a lot of information in regards to the size of the bag itself, it measures: 30.48cm x 43.18cm x 7.62cm It fits quite a lot in it which is great. But has a lack of pockets. For those worried about organization, it only has the main pocket, with a small zipped pocket on one of the inside walls, and the Velcro pocket on the front. I must say, I was expecting a little more in the way of pockets.
Other than that, the bag is nice and sturdy, has a large strap and has a seemingly reliable zipper.
Very happy with this bag over all, just thought I'd address the pros and cons of it, as there isn't a lot of real information in the description, and it's a lot to be spent on a messenger bag. But personally, totally worth it.
