I've used these for a few years now at home, running and at the gym. And does
exactly what it says it does with on my iPhone and Mac iTunes. I don't get the
horrible crackle I get in the std iPhone earplugs at higher volumes. Bass seems
good too. I am not an extreme audiophile but the sound seams great at both top,
mid and bottom end.
Would recommend to a friend.
These have great overall sound quality and particularly good bass response, which was immediately apparent after upgrading from my old Philips buds. I was quickly able to discern, for example, a marked difference in sound quality between two of my media players with the same Ogg file, whereas before the limited frequency range of my Philips buds had masked this.
They come with a range of cushions for different sized ears, but the default size (“medium” I suppose) formed a perfect seal for me. This might be a bit disconcerting for people who aren't used to having both ears completely blocked. Noise isolation is excellent – in fact they block out external sounds a bit too well. They can be dangerous in traffic if you don't keep looking around, and should certainly never be used when cycling.
The on-cord controls are a nice idea, but unfortunately useless to me as none of my media players support them.
The cord looks well-made, but only time will tell how well it holds up to regular use.
Overall, since sound quality is by far the most important metric to me for earphones, I can only rate these as Excellent.
