4 stars "Great Model"

This was the first joystick I bought, and it's pretty good. The twist handle is great – assign it to the rudder, and you can control everything without the keyboard.
I use it mainly for games like Battlefield 1942/V/2, and it is so much better to control than mouse/keyboard.
The actual movement of the stick itself is pretty sweet – its not loose like cheap ones, but not so tight that you cant make minor adjustments in game – about right.
The extra buttons on the base are good as well – use your right hand on the stick, and the left hand controlling throttle and 6 buttons.

5 stars "A quality product"

Bought this to replace an old Microsoft stick that had literally worn out and am very pleased with the purchase.

The build quality is excellent with a solid heavy base meaning “drift” just does not occur even in those intense moments. The spring is perfect in its tension (although a few reviewers do complain it is stiff) and performs smoothly leading to good precise control. The ergonomics suit my hand very well and this is actually one of the most comfortable sticks I have used. The buttons are well layed out with plenty of them available making programming for BF2 (which has a fair few controls to map for the flying beasts) a snap. The logitech profile software is robust and easy to use. The buttons have a bit of a lightweight feel but their tactile response is good with a nice “click” to it so you know when it has engaged.

Overall I give it a high “score” and for those who do not want to spend a fortune but want good quality this stick is well worth a look. The current special instore makes this a good buy for that young gamer of yours this Christmas or even for yourself. With a whole new crop of racers due out soon buying a decent stick that is completely compatible with todays XP and backed up by a company like Logitech makes sense if like me you have been using your current stick for a number of years and it's getting a little sad and sloppy.

5 stars "Excellent choice for Flight Simulation Enthusiasts!"

The Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick is an excellent choice for Flight Simulation Enthusiasts. The joystick itself is comfortable to use with easy to reach buttons (though you do need to use your other hand to use the buttons on the base. The base is also quite solid and keeps the joystick in position whilst in use. The movement of the joystick is very good and has excellent levels of sensitivity. I would definitely recommend this to others!

5 stars "Very solid and stable"

This was the first Joystick I've ever bought since the old school one I had that came with our families original Compaq pre-built PC way back in the 90's.

That aside, this joystick is definitely worth purchasing:

  • Very solid build (no loose buttons or switches)
  • Very solid, hefty base (not too heavy). Excellent as this makes the joystick stay in one place if you're in a hefty dogfight
  • All buttons are in a nice and comfortable position on the joystick, nothing feels awkward to press

4 stars "Value for money"

For the cost it's a pretty reasonable joystick.
Its fairly solid has a good feel and won't move a round. Only drawback is the throttle lever is really loose and doesn't feel great.

This joystick works great and use it to play BF3 and BF4.

4 stars "Works like it says on the box. Twist is really natural to use."

Well built, well made, needs more weighting though. The buttons need clearer labelling and the overall design lacks more comfortable rubber grips, since there are mould lines on the plastic, and can become quite biting after extended use. Great if you don't use pedals and a throttle stick or don't have the budget for them, but remember that you can't use this effectively with one hand given the buttons on the side and the throttle's location.

Would recommend for the price range, easily beats out anything in this range, but nowhere near the comfort or the accuracy of the higher end ones, but they don't have a twisting stick that is quite natural as you bank and compensate with rudder or tail collective.

5 stars "EXCELLENT QUALITY AT A GREAT PRICE"

WOW!
This joystick is the best one I have ever owned!
The handle is shaped perfectly for your hand and is VERY comfortable.
All the parts are made to a VERY HIGH quality and the buttons were put exactly were they would be the easiest and most natural accessable.
GREAT JOYSTICK
GREAT PRICE

5 stars "Very good joystick."

This joystick is rather good. Movement is very smooth, installation was easy. Cable is a good length.

Overall a good product. I use it for ArmA II and ArmA III
Which has realistic helicopter physics A+.

4 stars "Great controller"

Was looking for a simple not too fancy controller for MS FSX. This does the trick! feels good in hand, good control, easy to use. If you want to use a flight sim casually this is the way to go!
