5 stars "Experiencing Panic Attacks? This is one book you HAVE to read!"

If you have just started experiencing panic attacks, then this book is a must. Bev Aisbett has written and illustrated this book in such a way that it is so easy to read, yet relates so well to the experiences that go with panic attacks. The information is simple, clear, concise and very practical. I have recommended this book to many people whilst doing presentations/education sessions on anxiety disorders and I have yet to hear of anyone that didn't find the book great. We have a library facility at work for the public – and this book is the most popular item in our collection. Well worth a read – and I know of many people who have gone on to purchase this book to share with friends and family.

Description

This guide to coping with and surviving panic syndrome is by someone who has done the same. Approximately five percent of the population faces the dread of panic attacks. With the aid of her cartoons, Bev Aisbett tells readers how panic disorders develop, and covers topics such as "Changing negative thoughts" and "Seeking professional help". The book provides reassurance and comfort for sufferers of this condition, and is an alternative to the more clinical, matter-of-fact leaflets and brochures available. Bev Aisbett is the author of "Purrsonalities: Life With Your Cat" and "Muttmobiles".
