2 stars "Not what I expected"

I thought the title was misleading. The Essential Knowledge is a random selection of topics that is hardly what anyone would consider essential. It sounded like a good book to use to set trivial pursuit type questions but it isn't like that at all. The intelligence quizzes are also disappointing. Glad I didn't spend more than $10 on it.

4 stars "A fascinating book"

Beautifully presented book full of facts and knowledge.
Covers a vast range of topics. Great to study up on before a trivia night. Plenty of questions to keep you thinking. It's worth the price imo.

5 stars "Fascinating book"

I wasn't quite sure what to expect however it provides a wealth of information in bite sized chunks across a myriad of subjects. The only down side is that our 14 year old son has purloined it for his revision LOL!
