"One For Sci-Fi Anime Fans."

Before I start, it should be noted that this is really the of the “Gundams” that I have watched so I can't really compare this series to the others. However I do enjoy a good Sci-Fi Anime and I think I got moneys worth with this series.

The story starts off in a very typical Anime type way. We are introduced to Kiri Yamato the main protagonist of the series, as well as given a quick back story to the Gundam Seed Universe to start us off. The the story kicks right into it half way through the first episode.

So Kiri's life takes a drastic turn when the Neutral Space Colony he lives in is attacked by ZAFT. (Which you will learn about as the series goes on.) Kiri manges to escape danger yet ends up in a New Gundam, which the ZAFT forces were after and was the reason they attacked.

Kiri is able to pilot this new Gundam with little trouble and even saves his Friends from danger. Now to make matters worse one of the ZAFT members who are attacking is Kiri's oldest friend who he has not seen in years, Athrun Zala. And from there it's a real battle between these two about whats right and what they want.

This series for me, while a long one, never seems to drag out and moves a good pace, you get to know the characters, you learn what motivates each and every person. And you love and hate each one in your own way. This Anime also touches on the horrors of War, and the struggles people go through to fight for “What they think is right.”

What I loved the most about this is at times you didn't know where things were going, but it is in a good way because it keeps you attention because you want to see, you want to know what happens to these people. And it twists the point of veiw so many times, and it does it well. You will see all sides of this War. You will feel atleast something for everyone rather you like them or not. It is a well told story that moves along nicely with very little down time, yet not rushing through just to make it feel like it has to end.

I do recoomand this to all Sci-FI Anime Fans out there. I'm sure Gundam Fans will like this to as it falls into the same catagory.

The animation is good, the music really fits the series, and I think all the voice actors did a great job brining these characters to life. I can't actually think of anything wrong with this other then some of the typyical Anime situations that creep up now and again through out the series. But that is to be expected. All around a very good series. Hope you all enjoy it as much as me.

A great anime, I highly recommend it. The development of the characters through the chaos of war is great to watch. One of those animes you stay up late at night just to watch the next episode.
