Grant P Chilcott is a professional singer, bandleader and recording artist, also known as Wentworth Brewster.
For 25 years he has been spinning out songs from the great American songbook, it is this singing and Band-leading which has taken Grant to many countries including Japan, Italy, Korea, Australia and the Pacific Islands.
He has released albums of the works of Cy Coleman & Jimmy McHugh (On The Other Side Of The Tracks), a collection of tunes from film land with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra strings (Songs From The Movies), a collection of compositions with an ‘all food and drink’ theme (Hungary Man), and an album of sings made famous by Dean Martin for MMO recordings New York.
Grant P Chilcott's latest album is a mix of compositions by lyricist Mitchell Parish and includes collaborations with Duke Ellington, Hoagy Carmichael, Glen Miller, Benny Goodman and Leroy Anderson. The collection has been narrowed down from the 600 plus compositions Mitchell worked on.
Always one for variety Grant has included a mix of Swing, Latin, Lounge and several challenging ballads.
Sings Mitchell Parish features the Kevin Field Trio with guests Nigel Gavin, and Walter Bianco. The vocals were produced Nathan Haines.
