This game is pretty awesome, especially the campaign. AND its really cheap so that is a massive bonus!

Everything about it is great, best 3rd person shooter yet (equal with gears of war 2)

Ill admit, its fun at first, but thats only because of the thrill of a new game, but trust me, when all you do is duck behind cover, shoot, duck, shoot, duck, shoot and then occasionally shoot without ducking (for the truly adventurous) you get a bit bored.

Its extremely repetitive, i didnt even bother finishing it. The elusive “chainsaw gun” that is so famous with GOW isnt that much fun either. By the time you get close enough to use the chainsaw on an enemy loaded with guns, grenades and explosives your as good as dead because they kill you before you can even start it, and more often than not, the chainsaw “revs” which means you do everything perfectly, dodge all the bullets jump infront of your victim and it just coughs and smokes, at which point you get killed.

Boring, repetitve and the only enticing element of the game, the elusive “chainsaw gun” is a useless ornament. Dont buy it

Such a time absorbingly awesome game great fun good variety of weapons to choose from, has an interesting story line though bit blank in places but the game itself makes up entirely for that. Has a fair amount of environmental interaction and good variety of enemies to kill in several different ways. Its a must own 360 game and provides hour of locust killing fun. Not to mention your main gun has a built in chainsaw for those up close and personal encounters.

Violent, bloody, brutal, gritty, awesome. Gears of War is still an amazing game to this day, fully utilizing it's potentials and running straight into the fight with a f*** you and a raised middle finger! The graphics are still stunning, the guns great fun to use, the enemies awesome to shred and the story… err let's skip that part.

Gears of War is a third person shooter that uses the cover system but this game uses it good. It is amazing to play online, challenging and rewarding. You'll find plenty inside of this game, oh and did I mention chainsaw bayonet?

This game is super addictive. I've had it since the day it came out, and still play it once or twice a week. Finished all the campaign achievements awhile back, but still play the online multiplayer over xboxlive and still love it.

The graphics are still awesome even now, and the gameplay is great. Yeah there are alot of people exploiting glitches and things, but the host usually removes them pretty quick smart.

First thing i'd like to say is the graphics a brilliant especially on a high definition TV. The gameplay is very cool although hard in parts its not impossible. Throw a grenade and see the guts fly make a head shot and expect to see some gore and that's what attracts me most about this game. Its not Politically Correct its packed with explicit language and alien guts and blood. A must for all 360 owners

Having played the Halo series, Bioshock and Mass Effect, I was very disappointed with this game. What is all the hype about- It follows set patterns in each level and has far less freedom than comparable games. The presence of level bosses at various stages is also very annoying and old school. Added to this, there are only two difficulty levels – the latter of which is annoyingly difficult for a game of this genre. Save your money or buy Halo, Bioshock or Mass Effect.

A good game that is used to test whether gamers perfer to listen to the in game soundtrack, or listening to their own music playlists

Great game, has a very good single player campaign that makes you WANT to save the planet from aliens. A good 7–8 hour campaign with an excellent storyline and plot, I recommend this to anyone wanting a great shooter title that makes them want to buy the 2nd and third title in the series!

Wow – What a surprise…a shoot'em up game that is a challenge. Unlike Halo 3 (Which I found pretty easy to clock – got dominated on a harder difficulty though) this game presents a real challenge, a nice change. Sweet graphics for an older game. Will look into GOW 2 once I finish the first one!

Co-op mode is fun!

A great addition to any game collection for Xbox 360 players. This game is not for the weak at heart and pussies who is afraid of blood and offensive language. Seriously if you don't you have this game and the sequel in their Xbox 360 collection somethings wrong with you big time.

This is one of the best games I've ever played, it has a great storyline, which leads to even better ones on the 2nd and 3rd games. The emotions that the characters show feel so real when you watch the cutscenes, If you haven't tried it yet, it's a must, the characters are awesome. I can't point out any flaws, it's definitely a game to add to your collection.

Gears of War is simply a sensational experience. The gameplay is just fabulous and even though the story can be quite cheesy at times, it is wonderful. The gameplay is excellent. Getting into and out of cover is simple and fun. So is blasting hordes of enemies that are coming to attack you.

Very gory and gruesome game not for the faint hearted, very good style and online is good aswell

A nice and smooth FPS with a cover and fire play style great if you want to play a lazy FPS though still exciting and amaszing graphics for its time

Thats the game that if you own a 360 you must have it.
