"Pure awesomeness!"
5 stars"

I only heard about this game shortly before it was released, and though the demo was pretty nice, I wondered about it. Watched the OXM intro videos and was hooked. Already I've clocked about 40 hours into the game, mostly by running around and leveling up my skills and enjoying the expansive land. The story is interesting :)

I simply cannot put it down – this game is definitely in my top 5 games I've ever played in my life. If you have any interest in RPG's, you owe it to yourself to play this game.

I must admit this game is rather hard at times. The game does not give you a level guide, so you might be fighting off several packs of wolves doing well, and then your pawn companions will warn you that there are armed rogues around and to ‘be careful’. Next minute your in the middle of fight with more guys than you can handle and you die.

Save often, and take care when wandering around, this game is truly epic in scale, sense of adventure, combat and lighting. Spells dazzle and sizzle, enemies re-act when struck by fire, lighting, or when attacked at the knees. The day/night system is amazing as well – time passes quickly in the world of Gransys, and what set off as a morning expedition over that hill to help an NPC, soon becomes a desperate struggle in the night with zombies rising from the ground, and your lantern giving off feeble light.

Even after 40 hours of gameplay, getting back to town and resting and saving gives me a sigh of relief. I once played this game for about 6 hours straight, hooked entirely to leveling my character, aquiring loot from around the place -looking in dark tunnels, mining and gathering, ensuring my companions are healthy and help me carry heavy loot from monsters, and finding and upgrading my weapons and armour.

This game is passively online. You custom make your own character and your permanent companion, who you can level up, customize, and tweak to your liking. Then you can share your companion online with anyone. A copy of this companion goes into someone elses world and learns about enemies and quests they finish. They will eventually choose a different companion (as they don't level up in the other person's world, only yours) and the knowledge they have gained and items they receive will be updated to your companion when you rest at an inn. It's complex, but massively awesome.

You want to be a small wizard girl and have a big hulking warrior elf as your sidekick- (like me :P) Sure! Want to be a wizened old hermit who is an assassin, with your sidekick healing the party- Go for it.

This game is about freedom. It's about making choices and decisions tactically in battle, with a deep and rewarding system for leveling up a class (ranger or mystic knight for eg) and getting nice perks, then changing your class and transfer some of these perks over.

I simply cannot stress this enough. Some people who want to play online shooters or heavy action games may not have the patience for this, but anyone with a liking for tolkien-style artwork, fast and strategic combat, a deep and interesting companion/skill/job system and graphical effects which make the world seem very tangible, THIS GAME IS FOR YOU!!

Also for anyone who has this game on PS3, search for Fenberry :)

"Capcom ripping you off, Buy the Dark Arisen version"

Don't buy this, buy the Dark Arisen version… Capcom is trying to steal your money again (rereleasing slightly different version of the game)… But, a very good game, on par with Skyrim, Dark Souls.

"Quite fantastic really"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Skyrim and Dragon Age are good games. But this game I believe is better than both. And I'm wondering if I like this game more than what I think are the best games out right now Demon Souls/Dark Souls. Game play I would say is closest to Demon souls with a better character/class system and a fantastic group/party system thrown in that adds another dimension. Not as hard as Souls but its at least challenging. Unlike Skyrim which for the most part is very easy. Graphics maybe a bit behind Dark Souls or Skyrim on some levels but is some areas I even question that. Compare a close up character to skyrim and it's not as good. But creep around a dungeon with a lantern on or in a large scale battle I find the graphics are actually pretty good. Key points The Party/Pawn System. Yes in this game you can upload your Pawn and share it with your friends. Sounds dodgy but really your pawn is like your 2nd character or sidekick. You create it and manage its gear and progression. It is always with you and others who play the game can use your pawn as part of their group and you can recruit 1–2 pawns created by others to join your group. It really is a good system and a lot deeper than what I can explain in a quick review. In some respects your pawn is maybe even more important than your main character. You want your Pawn to complement your main character but you also want it to be a good character for others online to invite to their group so it gains experience and you gain loot and a currency called rift crystals. Boss battles. Good and involved. Requires teamwork with Pawns and the more experience they get the better they will be. It is a fun and as far as I know unique aspect of the game. Basically everything is good so far. Bad Points: If you are used to the insta-travel via the map screen of skyrim you may not like having to get out and run the roads in Dogma. You can get an item that transports you to the main city when you need it but that's it. No real co-op or PvP play like Demon/Dark Souls. Maybe lacks some polish compared to big budget releases from Bethesda or Bioware. As stated the graphics are not award winning like Dark Souls or BF2 but the game play is good so it doesn't matter. I think Capcom has struck gold with this game. It may mean they can get a big budget for production on the next instalment in this series. Keep an eye open for that, if it happens then this series should be household name stuff like Skyrim/elder scrolls or Mass Effect is today.

"It's like Monster Hunter and Skyrim had a baby."

It can be brutally challenging like Monster Hunter but you can always just run around find secret loot and stuff like in Skyrim. Actually throw in a bit of Shadow of Colossus for all that creature climbing goodness – 5 star game, demo didn't do it justice

"The adventure of Final Fantasy X in the Shadow of the Colossus."
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

For some reason playing this game gave me the feeling of the linearity of Final Fantasy X while being free enough to roam the somewhat open world along with my trusted party in an adventure to defeat a known foe that's been ravaging cities. It also has a great combat system similar to the Shadow of the Colossus but with more variety of weapons and fighting classes. Too bad there are no way of using any transport in which at least in the SotC there's a horse. Overall this is an AWESOME GAME!!

"Best Game I have played"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This is the best game I have played, its a massive RPG, the monsters are pretty awesome, lots of things to do. Combat is fast paced and interesting, awesome lighting and mood. Only downside is 1 save game only, and it auto saves, so don't play it for 2 days then let your mates kid have a go while you go for a feed :(

This game is worth buying.

"Near perfect"
4 stars"

If this game had 4 player co-op(as in swapping pawns for players) and a increased render distance and the dlc being good in any form it would be simply gaming greatness. Those being the only flaws it is a really good game and a great buy it's kind of like a cross between legend of zelda and shadow of the colussus except well deserving of it's praise.

"Good to get"
5 stars"

For me personally you should get the game, the game is good to play, the story is short but also epic in the graphics and how it plays out, the trophys are fun and sometimes difficult to get but its my third time through and im just taking my time, the side quests fall into place bit by bit, recommended to get. So get it !, good introduction song and so forth

"Great game, loads of fun"

But can be frustrating that there are so many bad guys to fight. When you feel like having a look around, you keep bumping into big bunches of them, and have to beat them all up. Great free roam, good fantasy game.

"Something old school about it"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I bought Dragon's Dogma on a special to fill a gap between games … I was blown away. The game is very well done, has lots of cool concepts, and something about it feels really good. I don't know what it is, but it feels kind of old school in a way. It's a modern game with good graphics … with a little something special added in the mix. If you are looking for a fantasy RPG, you will not go wrong with Dragon's Dogma!

"Awesome Game" Purchased on Mighty Ape

Really enjoyed this game. It doesn't have to be short if you do the side quests which also helps get you leveled up. Overall a really great gaming experience. Was incredibly fun.
