First things first, the diet and fitness journal orange and blue front is only a packaging label. It comes completely off and then you have a really nice, fake leather diet journal. All of the other diet journals I found were really obvious about being a…DIET JOURNAL! I bring this thing everywhere and don't want everyone to know it's my diet journal. It look's kinda classy without writing all over it.
The inside has spiral ribbing to make it easy to turn the pages. Along with the diet journal pages to enter all the info is a diet and fitness guide. If you are a pro, you won't learn anything, but I learned a few things. The best part is at the back there is a nutritional facts for popular foods. This really helps you watch your nutritional intake.
The journal gives you a full page for your food log with breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, and snack with a place for times eaten, portion, calories, fat, sodium, carbs, fiber, protein, and other. I just use it for portion and calories, time, and what I eat. It also has places to mark water and fruits and veggies. On the opposite side of this is a fitness log, calorie totals, vitamin/supplements, goals met, mood, energy level, and notes. The front and back have a place for before and after pictures. On the next to last page is a personal progress chart.
This is an AWESOME book and I really hope they keep selling them, because I will buy one every time I run out of entries. You WILL lose more weight if you journal and you are more likely to keep at it. I'm amazed that I ate about 2–3 times more than I was supposed to everyday before I started my journal.
