This product is of plastic construction with a metal grill surface. I found it able to keep the hard drive area of the laptop cool while gaming and the ability to raise the height level provided better air flow to the multi core heat exchanger. The noise level was less than the internal cooling fan of the laptop when the multi cores were fully operating.

I bought this because my fps was dropping too hard on my laptop when playing csgo for more than 10 minutes. This solves the issue, it keeps my laptop nice and cool. It's not silent but it isn't too loud at all. Highly recommend.

I have a large, older laptop (5–6 years old) that runs perfectly fun but gets incredibly hot. This cooling pad does a fantastic job of reducing the temperature. It is easy to operate with adjustable feet to elevate the laptop further. Fans aren't silent but with headphones on/sound playing you don't really notice it. For the price, this is well worth the investment.
