Just received (haha viking) this today, and I must say its an awesome package.
Beautifully boxed and even has write ups on all the main characters.Also has an explanation on each episode.

Each disk has its own slip in the (quite big) pull out booklet.

If your an X Files fan,this is a must.I have been waiting for something like this for the X Files for a long time,and it was well worth the wait.

If your thinking about getting it,then get it.You wont be disappointed :)

Considering the cost of buying each X-Files season separately, the cost of this collection is definitely worth it.

Character bios, episode synopses a summery of the season a littered throughout this book.

The disks a held in the slips both sides of the pages. The problem is they they are held in very firmly. This means that while the disks won't fall out when you move the book, getting some of the disks out to view them and get frustrating without damaging the packaging. By the time you do get them out, the disk will require a clean as you fingerprints will be all other it from you attempt to wiggle it out.

Despite this, it it well worth the purchase.

After the movie was released, I knew it was only a matter of time before a complete box-set was released . . . my patience was certainly well rewarded.

What a fantastic purchase!! Beautiful, well-constructed design & in keeping with all that is the X-Files. I love it!!

And well done Mighty Ape for getting it out so soon & for such a good price. I wont tell you how much I saw it selling for in one of the ‘major high street stores’.

Although I do agree with a previous reviewers comments about the ‘snugness’ of the disc holders. I'm a bit apprehensive about scratching the discs whenever I take one out.

The only other negative comment I have is . . . WHERE ARE THE BLOOPER REELS!!! I've seen some great X-File bloopers floating around on the internet, so surely it wouldn't have been that much of an ask to include some in the box-set.

But apart from that . . . I'm VERY happy :-)

A must have for any and every Sci-Fi person out there. I've only watched the first 2 disks so far but love it!!!! Well worth every penny.

The Book is very well presented and easy to read, with the DVD's laid out in a good manner which makes it easier to avoid getting them all mixed up with the other disks like in other collections I have.

My only “issue” with this excellent collection is that the DVD&‘s are a bit hard to remove from the book. While this is a small problem I would have no problem calling this one of the best DVD collections I’ve ever brought.

I was hoping for an X-Files DVD collection to come out and it finally has. And it was well worth it. As mentioned before the single seasons are expensive and this set is a really great price. It is very well packaged and I really love all the extras,including the two movies. My only problem with it as someone else has mentioned is that some of the discs are so tightly packed in it is very hard to get them out without damaging the packaging. Apart from that I recommend this collection, it is awesome.
