Description

TRUE BLOOD chronicles the backwoods Louisiana town of Bon Temps… where vampires have emerged from the coffin, and no longer need humans for their fix. Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) works as a waitress at the rural bar Merlotte's. Though outwardly a typical young woman, she keeps a dangerous secret: she has the ability to hear the thoughts of others. Her situation is further complicated when the bar gets its first vampire patron - 173-year old Bill Compton (Steven Moyer) - and the two outsiders are immediately drawn to each other.

Delivering the best of what audiences have come to expect from Creator and Executive Producer Alan Ball (writer of Oscar®-winning Best Picture “American Beauty”, creator of the Emmy® Award-winning HBO® series “Six Feet Under”), TRUE BLOOD is a dark and sexy tale that boldly delves into the heart - and the neck - of the Deep South.

5 stars "I Wish I Lived in Bon Temps"

True Blood is brilliant. I went into this series not know what to expect, all I had to go on was rave reveiws by a couple of work mates, I took a chance and I am so glad I did – I CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON 2!!!!!!! Well worth watching. Anna Paquin, you are awesome.

5 stars "An awesome watch for a rainy sunday!!!!!"

The complete Trueblood first series all in one place… and I consumed it in a day. Having recently read all the Sookie Stackhouse novels I was pleasantly surprised that the series kept all the best parts of the books while adding a couple more storylines and beefing up a couple of the characters.

5 stars "not a typical american cliche series."

My second favorite TV series. (1st is Dexter)

doesn't drag out curtain problems that occur like typical big budget American series.

If the world had vampires this series demonstrates what it would be like accurately. with a plot that's semi believable.

Also the camera work lighting and cinematography make the entire series stunning.

Curtain parts are not for the faint hearted and the series doesn't hide anything to keep the R down. brilliant acting.

very funny.

very sad.

5 stars "The First Season, Something to sink your teeth into ^V^"

I have always been a sucker for a Vampire Movie and collect them, so to be able to get an entire season of True Blood was a no brainer.

The Story is easy to follow but also gets you guessing from the start…

Great to see Anna in the lead Role and doing a Dam fine job of it to.

I mostly enjoyed being able to settle in and watch the episodes completely uninterrupted… BLISS ^V^ that alone is reason enough to own your own copy of this truly enjoyable series… cant wait for season 2

Highly recommend to all ",

5 stars "This Series Rocks - Bring on Season 2 & more"

I had heard from people that the series was good but I hadn't been able to watch it on TV at the time. Finally ordered the 1st Season and picked a time that
I could watch it in peace & quiet. Was absolutely enthralled once I started watching it. Anna Paquin seemed a bit dull at first but the more I got into the story the more I wanted to watch. I was truly disappointed when I came to the end of the series because I wanted to know what else was going to happen. Can't wait for Series 2 to be released so I can hide away and watch it from start to finish.
