5 stars "Fantastic viewing for anyone in post earth quake Christchurch"

The season is a grip[ping view of a set of characters living in the Treme in New Orleans post hurricane Katrina. For people living in post earth quake Christchurch there are many recognisable issues. Poignant and fun. Wonderful music throughout and a glimpse of Treme culture. Characters you will love. If you like the wire, music and live in Christchurch this is a quality viewing treat!

5 stars "Magic, people overcoming adversity"

Absolutely fabulous series, enjoyed the growth of characters. Loved the music and the extra feature identifying the music and artists was excellent. Look forward to being able to own the next series. Still googling to get a better understanding of the second line.

5 stars "Worthy Successor To The Wire"

Fantastic character-based series with superb writing, acting, direction, music–in fact, superb everything. For the first ten minutes or so of the first episode I admit my main feeling was, “But it's not The Wire!”, however this quickly faded. An excellent series that's well worth following.
