Having read the book I was not disappointed in the film as it followed the
story-line faithfully.
A powerful and enthralling story about betrayal and its follow-on consequences,
many left unresolved.

The Kite Runner brings history and recent/present day reality together to involve you in the Afghan conflict and the society that fills the void produced by such conflicts. Even though it is mostly subtitled, you don't realize it as you are drawn into the lives of those this story seeks to convey. A must if you enjoy cultural and history based entertainment.
