Description

The award-winning and best-selling Millennium trilogy has fast become a global phenomenon, selling over 25 million copies in over 40 countries. Author Stieg Larsson was the world’s second-best selling author of 2008, but tragically died before any of his trilogy were published.

The entire trilogy has now arrived on the big screen, with THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO already ranked as the world’s second biggest earning independent film of 2009 (behind only SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE). Stylish, intelligent, dark and action-packed, Larsson’s trilogy will usher in the new thriller for the new decade.

Forty years ago, Harriet Vanger disappeared from an island owned and inhabited by the powerful Vanger clan. Her body was never found, yet her uncle is convinced it was murder and that the killer is a member of his own tightly knit but dysfunctional family. He employs disgraced financial journalist Mikael Blomkvist and the tattooed, ruthless computer hacker Lisbeth Salander to investigate.

(Part 1 of the Millennium Trilogy)

3 stars "Unfortunately its not in english and has subtitles"

Unfortunately its not in english and the subtitles and loud music (which seems to be a big thing these days) all this distracted my attention away from what could have been a good tale… So I didn't enjoy it, I spent most of the time following the dialogue…will try again some day with the volume down.

5 stars "Awesome adapation!"

Awesome adaptation of the book. Sure, there were parts missing, but the important stuff was still in there. Well worth the watch even if you've never read the book. Can't wait to see Daniel Craig as Kalle :)

5 stars "A worthwile watch"

A great thiller and a mind teaser. This film because of subtitles must be watched with full attention . I must admit watching it a second time was a must. Really enjoyed this film.

5 stars "Great movie, glad I read the book first"

The movie was great and reading the book first, gave me a better insight to follow the movie as the subtitles have to read pretty quickly.
