Big Bang Theory Season 1 DVD reviews

I'm so glad i picked this up i managed to see some of the season 2 stuff but missed season 1 due to work.

It's a great buy and will have you laughing with every episode (so much at times i spilt my drinks)

Also as great as the main characters are i have to say the some of the best gags/scenes from the show came from the main characters 2 friends who pop up in most episodes howard & rajesh (so keep an eye out when they are on screen, cos laughs are sure to follow).

And to top it off it has a catchy theme tune sung by the barkenaked ladies.

This is an amazing show, I love how all things geeky find there way on the show and makes you embrace your inner geek! Love the cast, sheldons character is brilliant and one of the funniest in years, everything about this show is just right! If you love to laugh you will not regret getting hooked on this series.

I have been looking for a present for my partner who buys everything he wants for himself. Then I discovered Mighty Ape and this is perfect!

This is a great comedy with intelligent lines and fascinating characters. Sheldon Cooper provides all the entertainment and intellectual stimuli one needs.

This is the funniest show I have seen in a long time. Well written and well acted show and a great lead up for season 2.

Now, I actually purchased this boxed set for fathers day. My parents LOVE this show and the humour contained therein while I myself am kind of one of the strange nerdly folk depicted and can explain lot of the more esoteric humor.

The show is FULL of injokes, math jokes and can be entertaining just to try and spot thematic merchandise inserted into backgrounds during particular scenes like advertising material for a popular superhero MMO.

The characters are witty and yet relatable and the show is fantastically written, I'm pleased I bought this for them, and now im going to have to borrow it and watch it all myself!

If you're a bit of a geek (and even if you aren't) you will laugh constantly at the hilarious characters in this show and their constant Star Trek etc references. Easy watching – great to put on and watch 3 or more in a row when you get home after work!!

they did it again Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady have created the latest hit zit com. A look into the life of genuises is hillarous, as they try to fit into the real world.

An awesome change from the typical comedy zit show. Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady have created another master peice of of intelligent humour.

The First Season of the hit show The Big Bang Theory even though the main story of the series takes a little while to get into its full of laughes from the first minute its a must have and is an excellent for young and old alike, brainy and non alike ;)

A very funny series. Good to see they actually use a real scientist to do the boards and scripts.

Our family loves this sitcom. Very very funny and uplifting.

This is one of the few comedy shows around that actually makes you laugh. It's intelligently written and the actors are great. This is a great show to watch if you need a good laugh. I find myself watching this DVD over and over again.

I would recommend this DVD to everyone.

The chemistry between the characters is fantastic, the acting is excellent, and it is extremely well written. Sheldon has to be the funniest TV character ever!

If this series doesn't make you laugh then you don't have a sense of humour. Wickedly funny and I would have to give it more than 5 stars!

I gave this to my husband for his birthday. We sat down to watch one or two episodes with the view to watching a little every day, but we couldnt stop! We watched the whole 1st season in one go.
Good family entertainment.

This series is very funny and very entertaining, it is a favourite show in our house so to have the whole first season on DVD is a real treat!

Big Bang Theory is an amusing, entertaining, and really well-casted show. Sheldon is my favourite character, and his lines are just so great, you can't help but love him. He's such an endearing character, with all his intricacies :)

Penny is a close second, and the rest of the gang (especially Raj) behind. I'm so glad CBS made this show, and I can't wait for the third series to be made and aired here.

I was given Season 2 after I had been to the dentist and my god, I laughed and laughed. So having said that would I buy Season 1? Yes I would, simply because this show is better than anything else on television to date. It's funny, sophisticated, and god damn sexy.

I find that shows with a complex story-line and that 42 minute length really is just too much, I want something that's funny, short, and really on to it.. This is what television is and should be.. Love you sheldon!!

Now if your wondering should I buy from mighty ape? I suggest you do, but buy this with something else just to get that free shipping…

Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock

This is one of the best US sitcoms to be produced in the past 10 years, in our opinion !!

This is an awesome programme to watch. You have to see it to believe it. When you have 2 brain boxes in this programme and trying to until what they are saying you have to be able to process it fast. Then you will understand how penny feels. This is a smash hit world wide and you can understand why. The Big bang theory rocks.

I just love it. It is hysterical i mean who doesn't love nerdy people trying to hit on girls, that love comic books and love playing halo (me lol). If you are into comedies like two and a half men or hung or just any TV comedy soaps. BUY BUY BUY :)

Want Science, Maths and quirky one liners all in the one show? The Big Bang Theory is perfect then. It has brilliant characters and actors, my favourite being Sheldon Cooper, performed by Jim Parsons (he was even nominated for an Emmy!!) I thoroughly enjoyed the humour, the acting, the exact science references and even watching the characters change and form relationships. The Big Bang Theory makes science cool!

Slightly lame jokes and laughter track is distracting, but once you get past that – it's funny and enjoyable especially for a Sunday afternoon. The long rants from Sheldon (Jim Parsons) are a particular highlight. Overall a good buy and a good watch. And the a fantastic theme song to top it off!

This is such a great buy! I watched the first season on TV and had to have the DVD's so i could enjoy it all over again! No matter how many times you watch an episode, it will still be funny! One of the best comedy's I've watched in a long time!
