3 stars "Not the worst"

When this, along with Legend of the Seeker, first popped their heads into Prime's broadcasting schedule in about 2008, I had high hopes for both shows. But within the first while, I much preferred Legend of the Seeker.

I just had a few small problems with this show.
I found the storylines to be a bit boring, and predictable.
The effects were far from what they could have been
And only a few of the actors had good acting skills.

This made watching the show a bit boring. I still enjoy the show, and am looking forward to series 2 sometime in 2011, but I am far more excited about all new Legend of the Seeker, and would recommend that over the top of Merlin. So not the worst, but definitely, not the best!

5 stars "Exceeds Expectations"

I thoroughly enjoyed this series of Merlin which explores the early years of the relationship between Arthur and Merlin. Good story lines and development of characters. There is also some very good special effects which all add up to an enjoyable series for all age groups.
