The latest in the Stargate SG-1 series. Set after the end of Season 10 of SG-1, Ark of Truth is rumoured to be the conclusion of the Ori storyline.
SG-1 searches for an ancient weapon which could help them defeat the Ori, and discover it may be in the Ori's own home galaxy. As the Ori prepare to send ships through to the Milky Way to attack Earth, SG-1 travels to the Ori galaxy aboard the Odyssey. The International Oversight committee has their own plans and SG-1 finds themselves in a distant galaxy fighting two powerful enemies.
While not a fan of the Ori saga, I thoroughly enjoyed seasons 9 & 10, and really enjoyed this movie. The way they tied up the arc wasn't the greatest, but given I wasn't a fan of the Ori storyline that helps me understand why I didn't. The replicator storyline was -awesome-! Watching Cam getting his butt kicked was great; Ben's lines were fantastic, and he played his role in the film really well. All the Sam/Cam bits were my favourites, particularly the scene near the end :)
Great movie. Can't wait for Continuum to be released next!
This is definitely worth watching for the avid fan of the popular tv series. All of the cast put in good performances, especially Ben Browder, and the movie has a good plot. Overall it is a decent enough closure to the Ori storyline.
Well this ties up most of the season ori storyline. Saddly its not the best
work Scifi have delivered and no where near the Dean anderson heyday of the
show. Still worth a watch if you must see what happens – otherwise just watch
atlantis and wait for the old cast to turn up.
Distinctly average.
Brings closure to the Ori part of the story. An excellent ending. I don't think Browder does “chessy” as convincingly as Anderson, but definitely a good watch.
