Description

The ninth season starts out with two independent plots – one in machinima style using the Halo: Reach engine, following Church after he transferred himself into the capture unit following the finale of season 8, and another, an entirely CGI-rendered storyline chronologically preceding the Blood Gulch Chronicles, involving earlier events under Project Freelancer.

In the capture unit Church attempts to straighten things out with the members of Red Team, as he discovers they aren't behaving the way he remembers them to. And after coming back from being shot in the foot, Church finds out that Caboose called command, and tries to find out which Freelancer is coming, in high hopes that it is Tex. In a flashback of Project Freelancer, twin operatives North and South Dakota steal a data file from a cryogenics facility. They are found out by the facility guards, but are soon rescued by another Freelancer, codenamed Carolina.

5 stars "Funny and awesome, as always"

Really enjoyed this season. The CGI animation is pretty awesome, hoping they do more in the future. The normal, theatre mode with Simmons, Grif and Sarge and all they were funny too, maybe not the spanish guy, got a bit annoying after a while.. Overall really great!

5 stars "Best season of RvB yet (in my opinion)"

Season 9 is packed full of it's usual crude humor as well as new and improved CGI for epic combat sequences. This season is very revealing, enabling the audience to understand earlier points in the other series which wasn't clear at the time. The ending to season 9 is intense which leaves watchers staring blankly at the screen trying to figure it all out, leaving them with more questions than answers. Any RvB fan who enjoyed the other series will love season 9 and will be eagerly awaiting the release of the much anticipated season 10 coming out later this year (2012).
