Jennifer's Body

During switching channels on Sky I happened to come partway into the movie Jennifer's Body earlier this year. Since then seen most of it all the way through, only missing the beginning. Beware, the following will contain spoilers. Got the gist of the plot that a devil worshipping rockband sacrifrices a virgin on a half-moon night so that they'll be granted wealth and popularity. One little problem… Jennifer isn't a virgin. Whoops. Jennifer, already the hottest girl in school miraculously survives her own murder without a scratch. However, she's now posessed by a demon who tends to have some major cravings for fresh meat. On the menu? Mostly the boys in school, the football team, the occasional teacher, whoever turns Jennifer on becomes a meal. Her best friend Needy, who happens to be somewhat psychic, catches on quick what is going on and tries everything to dissuade Jennifer from going after Needy's boyfri­end Chip.

Ok then, if you liked Buffy, you'll definitely will like this. There are some scary bits in it that you'll get used to.
However, there are some obvious Adult themes, so do be aware to take heed of the R16 rating.

This is not a horror film. I'm not saying it's a bad film. It isn't the worst film I've seen. But the fact is, the sexual overtones are more apparent than the horror.

Yes, there was parts that brought horror to the film, but not enough for me to get anything I would want from a horror film – enough to get your girlfriend to cover her eyes with your chest, not enough to actually scare people.

To be honest, I probably would have liked this film more if it wasn't trying to be a horror film.

I bought it for my brother, so have not actually watched it. But he loves it. Watches it over and over again. Totally recommends it :)

This movie maybe a teenage boys dream movie, as the only appeal is Megan Foxes (Jennifer's) body.
