5 stars "Halo Universe "

Everything to do with Halo is on this DVD. Going before Halo 1 combat evolved, this DVD is the story of not just Master Chief but all of the Spartans and how, when and what they did. More for the serious Halo fan but can easily be enjoyed by all.

4 stars "Another great title from the HUGE Halo Universe!"

Anything Halo has always been a must buy for me! So when I heard about Halo Legends being an Anime series based on the Halo Universe I got quite excited. I had seen the trailer, and it looked quite good so I ordered it.

These stories take you outside of the limited game story, and allow different, and much more unknown parts of the story to be told, and it seems fitting to tell them in a new style. The first two episodes were great! They explained the Halo events so well, and in a completely new media – Anime! The 3rd to the final episode got better each time in my opinion, each telling a small, sharp story about: Elites and thier proud traditions, a cheesy story about a Spartan who falls off a Pelican and finds trouble (made by the studio who makes DragonBall), a devoted Sergent in the UNSC, a story into the life of a Spartan, the rivalries of ODSTs and Spartans, and finally a good old Master Chief story based pre-Reach.

I found Halo Legends very enjoyable, and they certainly have not let the Halo Universe down. It's a must see for any Halo Fan or someone wanting to get a taste for the world of Halo outside the games.

"Anelic Halo or Devils Horns"

The DVD is a collection of short stories that add content to the greater Halo universe which is fine if your familiar with the Halo story line. The stories reflect the views of the various creators and therefore lack a cohesive depth or flow but if your a fan its made for you, worth watching if you've played through any of the games and worth buying if you have all the games as it will fill in some gaps but dont expect it to breath new life into the Halo storyline.

If Halo is an unknown to you then you've been living under a rock, I suggest you go buy Red vs Blue.

1 stars "Halo Legends? More like MAJOR letdown"

I'm a bit of a Halo series fan but this anime was a major letdown. The storyline of Halo Legends, well the first few episodes were boring, had the tendency to skip the episodes until the very last ones which were kinda of good, they really let this one go, I'd prefer watching the GGI cinematics on Halo Wars, than watching Halo Legends again. I suggest renting it out at your local video shop than wasting money on this, money better off spent on other great movies or anime that Mighty Ape has.
