Gilmore Girls - Seasons 1-7 (42 Disc Box Set)

If you've ever seen Gilmore Girls, you know it to be a fast-paced, funny and heartfelt dramedy about a mother and daughter duo, their quirky small town and the men in their lives. Full of bright, lively characters and tag-lines that you'll be using for years, Gilmore Girls never fails to impress me with its story lines and clever humour. Seven seasons is a lot, but it stayed fresh and what resulted is something to be logged as television history. This collection is awesome, the beautiful box houses all seven slimline NZ edition DVDs, as well as an episode guide booklet with the syopsis for each of the 150-odd episodes, and a booklet of Gilmore-isms, in case some of the pop-culture references catch you off guard. This is also cheaper than buying the seasons separately, and as always Mighty Ape has greaty postage and shipping, as well as fast service. All in all, the best of the many many purchases I have made thus far!!

I loved the Gilmore Girls. I watched every episode when it was on TV and grew up with Rory, who is only 2 years older than me. So when I saw the boxed set my mildly compulsive collector urge kicked in and I shelled out the $159 for it.
It's great to be back in the Stars Hollow world, and track how many obscure pop culture references you can identify as the banter and laughs crank out at lightening speed. Much of my musical tastes and reading choices have been built on this show over the years.
Sadly, the special features are patchy to say the least – a few ‘additional scenes’ that were cut for airtime and you can't watch in situ in the episode, and a couple of behind the scenes and mash-ups. There isn't even a chapter-selection menu, and a couple of discs (I'm only onto season 3 while writing this) already seem to be doing that skippy-jumpy-badly-burned thing which may or may not get worse with age.
I love the Gilmore Girls, and it's an economically sound move to get the boxed set. Just wish I could compare to the individual-seasons to see what I've missed out on by grabbing the bargain basement version.

This show is one of the best ever created, the fast paced dialogue and fabulous banter between the quirky characters keeps you hooked.

This is a beautiful box sex including all seven seasons of the series and lots of extra features for you to enjoy.

I couldn't decide if I needed to buy the entire series but I'm so glad that I did! This show is one that you just can't walk away from and every episode leaves you wanting to watch the next. The characters in the show are quirky and lovable and it gives you a true appreciation for small town life. This is a series that I'm going to be watching again and again for years to come :) A++!
