I had purchased this for a friend who had seen a copy in Europe. I bought one for myself on her recommendation. It was mostly recycled recipes. I really doubt my friend will like it much more than I.

Description

A busy working mother with four active children, Christchurch dietician and food writer Sarah Bowman understands the demands of creating hearty and delicious meals on the run. Weeknight meals in her home are likely to be speedy one-dish wonders, packed with interesting flavours and textures that even the fussiest eater will love. In Cook Simple Sarah shares her favourite recipes for every meal occasion - from lightning-quick after-work dinners to lazy weekend breakfasts, extended family get-togethers and special celebrations. There's also a tried-and-tested array of chutneys, sauces and dips to have on standby as fridge staples, and time-honoured recipes for breads and baked goodies to fill the tins. Big on impact but with a minimum of fuss, these are set to become your new go-to recipes - whether you're searching for a quick Wednesday night dinner or something to cook for a special occasion.

Author Biography

Christchurch food writer Sarah Bowman is a trained dietician and home science graduate, who juggles working with the demands of four active children. She has been a regular contributor to Taste magazine since 2005, the same year in which she launched Soul Food camps teaching Christchurch children how to prepare nutritious, great-tasting meals. She credits running a busy household for her own cooking skills, which focus on creating no-fuss yet high impact meals that satisfy a range of ages and tastes.
