Nina Simone had a unique, broken but always-rising career – forced to
play
the blues in dives, while she was promised to a classical music performing
career.
This was Nina Simone’s very first pain and she would keep its scar until
she
died. She cured this pain throughout an artistic and politic vision, and her
music was ahead of genres and prejudices, it sounded like a cold and
calculated revenge.
“I want to shake people up so bad that when they leave a nightclub
where
I've performed, I just want them to be to pieces“. We will feel exactly
like
