Filmed in Iceland, Greenland, Alaska and Montana this is an amazing documentary highlighting the skills and dedication of a film team led by James Balog. Well worth all the awards it received. Truly inspirational and educational in content.

"compelling and frightening reality"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This documentary film is beautifully shot and tells the devastating story of the depletion of our glaciers. The rapid shrinkage is frightening. This decline effects the planet on a large scale as you will discover if you buy this unbelievable film. The journey the photographer goes through to get this footage is nothing short of astounding.

"An eye opening expozay into the reality of climate change"

In Chasing Ice, James Balog – photographer, father, and adventurer, was an initial climate change skeptic. Yet his growing love of photographing the surreal beauty of ancient ice formations lead him to realise the reality of how fast our planets ice formations are changing – and the need to capture it on film to convince others as to the nature of the change. With considerable difficulty he establishes the Extreme Ice Survey, and in the process captures some of the most spectacular and alarming footage.

This is challenging for skeptical arguments. For the rest of us, the alarm is sounding – tectonic change has arrived.
