Travel N Time

A proud addition to the Liberation Blue Acoustic series, TRAVEL N TIME captures possibly some of Midge Marsden’s finest work to date.The album opens with the swampy groove track and first single “Waiting For Rain” penned by respected songwriter and friend Hammond Gamble.

Then revels in the salaciousness of “Kokomo”, whilst taking “The Midnight Special” back to Leadbelly singing for his release from a Texas prison, and so finds a gravity in a new version of “Burning Rain” that may have been lost in the rock band original. “It seems I went through my whole personal history to select songs for this album and the final result is a combination of many stories. .....Midge Marsden is virtually without equal. His career spans four decades, he has played thousands of concerts to countless people and he has performed with a list of artists that reads like a definitive Who's Who of New Zealand Rock. In 1990 he was voted New Zealand Entertainer of the Year and later his critically acclaimed album 'Burning Rain' went gold.

Midge has recently performed in London in conjunction with the All Blacks 1997 British Tour, the highlight of which was performing to a sold out crowd at the 1000 seater 'Walkabout' with guest appearance by All Black no 7, Josh Kronfeld. This was filmed live and televised to all of New Zealand on the 'Holmes' Show. The band also managed to secure a peformance at the world famous Soho venue 'Ronnie Scotts'.

Midge has become a household name and icon in New Zealand, not only through his live performances but also with regular appearances on television shows such as '60 minutes', 'Holmes', 'Air NZ Holiday', 'Lotto televised specials', 'Showcase', 'Ansett Time of your Life' and 'Crimewatch', just to name a few.
