Description
John Psathas is New Zealand’s most internationally performed composer. He has been commissioned by many international festivals and performers, including ceremonial music for the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
On this recording which contains three concertos, internationally renowned soloists: saxophonist Joshua Redman, percussionist Pedro Caneiro and pianist Michael Houstoun have come together with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra to create the most ambitious orchestral recording project in New Zealand history. Also Included is a bonus DVD which features interviews and footage from the recording sessions.
