Description
Hollie Cook was born and bred in West London in a household dominated by music, the daughter of Sex Pistol drummer Paul Cook, Hollie's diverse resume includes singing with all-female punk-dub group The Slits.
On her debut self titled album Cook's nine songs mix her rich and soulful vocals and dubby roots reggae production with a very British pop-soul aesthetic.
Her ‘Tropical pop’ sound stems from her passion for reggae singers Janet Kay and Phyllis Dillon combined with classic 60s girl groups.
The album is produced by friend and collaborator Mike Pelanconi, better known as Prince Fatty.
Available on both CD & LP
