‘Epic’ celebrates the summer festival season in New Zealand with
36 Essential Festival Anthems – the biggest songs songs from some of the
biggest acts to have ever performed live in New Zealand. Disc One kicks things
off with 18 monster rock anthems from the likes of Faith No More (with the
aptly titled “Epic”), Soundgarden, Queens of the Stone Age, all the way
through to Ministry before Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds bring proceedings to a
temporary close with magisterial “The Mercy Seat”. The Prodigy's
“Firestarter” opens proceedings on Disc Two, which takes the listener
through 80 minutes of hardened alternative electronica by some of the biggest
names in the business – such as the Chemical Brothers and LCD Soundsystem. It
even takes a detour through the heart of NZ electronica along the way, providing
a soundtrack that is uniquely Kiwi. ‘Epic’ is the essential festival
accessory and the soundtrack to your summer!
