Description

Buffalo is the eagerly awaited follow-up to the band’s 2007 gold album Happy Ending, which received huge critical acclaim in New Zealand and rave reviews in the UK after its release there late last year.

The brand new FIRST SINGLE and title track - Buffalo - was released to radio in March, and was offered as a FREE DOWNLOAD for a limited time, along with an exclusive non-album B Side. A video clip for Buffalo will be released shortly.

Initially recorded at the band’s practice room The Wellington Car Club (which they somehow manage to share with a group of car enthusiasts!), Buffalo was eventually finished with producer Lee Prebble at The Surgery in Newtown, with the help of Brett Stanton.

The new 10-track album is The Phoenix Foundation’s most collaborative and unique work thus far. A combination of the avant-garde experiments of earlier albums Pegasus and Horsepower and the kaleidoscopic pop of Happy Ending, Buffalo pushes boundaries in a way that marks a new chapter in the band’s development, and is irrefutable proof that they are creating the music of the present for the future.
