5 stars "Something for everyone."

For those who don't know, Slipknot is not just a crazy heavy metal band. Their lead singer is also the lead singer of Stone Sour (Looking at you through the glass). As a result, this album contains some true heavy metal songs, some more mainstream metal songs, and a couple of great soft songs (such as snuff). This is pure gold for Slipknot fans, and might just be the album that sends Slipknot mainstream.

5 stars "One of the Best rock/metal albums of 2008"

The 4th album from Slipknot improves greatly from their last album vol. 3 the subliminal verses, and draws upon their older releases to create a perfect mix of metal and soft melody heavy songs. This album gives Slipknot fans everything they could possibly want with pure metal songs like Psychoscial to the melody driven songs from their last release like Snuff and mixes them together to create a varied and brilliant album.
