This compilation contains all tracks from five albums: “Roving with the Seekers”,
“Hide & Seekers”, “Come the Day”, “Seekers Seen in Green” and “Live at the Talk of the Town”
Plus several newer mixes as well as the original mixes and takes of the singles/EPs

“Roving with the Seekers” is effectively The Seekers unplugged – presented here in stereo.

“Hide & Seekers” is similar, accompanied by rich string arrangements by Bobby Richards.

“Come the Day” was The Seekers' first stereo album with the title track as my favourite.

“Seekers Seen in Green” (their last studio album) featured Keith Grant as audio engineer.
I favour Mr Grant's mixes of “Colours of my Life”, “Chase a Rainbow”, “Rattler” and “The Sad Cloud” included here.

Incidentally, you'll hear Judith making a pot of tea in “Angeline is always Friday” (listen closely).

“Live at the Talk of the Town” is the only live album released by the Seekers – engineered by Stuart Eltham,
Orchestrations by Bobby Richards conducted by Burt Rhodes. Incidentally, the track index positions are correctly placed on this compilation.

Several tracks are exclusive to this compilation: “Emerald City (no children's vo­ices)”, “Paper Bird” (a very nice surprise),
“Music Of The World A Turnin'” (alternative arrangement including tambourine and hand-clapping).
Singles by Judith Durham: “The Olive Tree”, “The Non-Performing Lion Quickstep”, “Again and Again”, “Memories”

The original single/EP mixes and takes included here stand out -
Notably “Georgy Girl”, “Walk With Me”, “A World of Our Own”, “The leaving of Liverpool” and “When will the Good Apples Fall”.

The sleeve notes by Graham Simpson are quite informative.

This is a great compilation at good value.

Very enjoyable, brought back lots of memories, especially the early recordings.
