A Dramatic Turn of Events is the 11th studio album by American progressive metal band Dream Theater, scheduled for a September 13, 2011 release on Roadrunner Records. It will be the band's first album to feature Mike Mangini on drums following the departure of founding drummer, Mike Portnoy in September, 2010.
The title and tracklisting were announced in 8 June 2011. In an interview
with MusicRadar, guitarist John Petrucci confirmed that the band will be
performing one song from the album over their European festival dates. Mixing
and mastering the album was finished on Tuesday, June 28, 2011.

Truly a Dream Theater album, brilliant. Every mood ever felt and style of music is in this album. No matter what music you listen to, you will have your preferences catered for at the highest level of musicianship.
With a great sigh of relief there is no let-down or noticable difference with
the change of drummers. Also
I can peacefuly say James Labrie (singer) has his voice at it's best than ever
before, truely awesome to listen to now.
I have all their albums and listen to them ALOT, I think this could be, from
start to finish, their best album. Each song has hints of musical themes from
each previous album and some new sounds making this the ultimate Dream Theater
album.
