I have Alexa's other books and felt I needed to complete my collection of excellent old recipes used by my own mother and my grandmother. Their original books are in a sad state. Our only reading material as children was from recipe books and not only are Alexa's books great sources of old recipes the anecdotes are priceless.

I found this particular recipe book so easy to understand. The recipes are so easy to understand and most of the ingredients needed are already in the pantry.
