Description
This is a book and CD pack of the best selling picture book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. There is a straight reading of the story first with intro and exit music and then a reading that includes a 'ping' to turn the page.
A much-loved classic, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" has won over millions of readers with its vivid and colourful collage illustrations and its deceptively simply, hopeful story. With its die-cut pages and finger-sized holes to explore, this is a richly satisfying book for children. Author Biography
Eric Carle is an internationally bestselling and award winning author/illustrator of books for very young children. He was born in New York, but spent his early life in Germany. He returned to the States in his early twenties and worked as a graphic designer for the New York Times. He went on to be the art director of an advertising agency before he began writing and illustrating children's books. Eric lives in Massachusetts with his wife Barbara. The Carles opened The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Massachusetts in 2002.

Critical Reviews:
Every child should experience this wonderful, cumulative story, with its brightly coloured pictures of the tiny but greedy caterpillar that eats his way through one apple, two plums and three pears before turning into a beautiful butterfly. The board version stands up well to the inevitable poking of little fingers through the holes in the pages. (2-4 yrs) (Kirkus UK)Customer reviews
