Description

Salander is plotting her revenge - against the man who tried to kill her, and against the government institutions that very nearly destroyed her life. But it is not going to be a straightforward campaign. After taking a bullet to the head, Salander is under close supervision in Intensive Care, and is set to face trial for three murders and one attempted murder on her eventual release. With the help of journalist Mikael Blomkvist and his researchers at Millennium magazine, Salander must not only prove her innocence, but identify and denounce the corrupt politicians that have allowed the vulnerable to become victims of abuse and violence. Once a victim herself, Salander is now ready to fight back.

Author Biography

Stieg Larsson was editor-in-chief of the anti-racist magazine Expo and a leading expert on right-wing extremist organisations. He died of a massive heart attack in 2004, soon after delivering the text of the novels that make up the Millennium Trilogy. Since then, these books have taken the bestseller charts by storm throughout the world.

5 stars "Excellent as a stand-alone or read as a trilogy"

All three of these books are excellent read either together, or as a stand alone. Never have I wanted the ‘baddies’ to get their just desserts so much and the ‘goodies’ to win.

4 stars "Not as good as the previous 2 books, but still a good read"

The last of the Millenium Trilogy kept me entertained till the last pages, but wasn't as addictive as the previous 2 books.
Assuming it wasn't poetic license on the part of the author, the book did provide an interesting description of how the swedish legal system works.

5 stars "The girl who played with fire"

If you have read the first book, then this is a must, I had seen the film first, and found the book to be almost exactly the same apart from one or two differences, even though I knew what was going to happen , I found this book, exciting, intriguing and a certain must for all fans of this writer, found it hard to put down.
