"Teen Female Urban Fantasy"
I'd read the teaser on Amazon so I kinda knew what to expect from this. I was expecting somewhat more action but (just to be horribly sexist) it is written by and starring females so a lot of it is about character interaction. The author is very good at conveying the menace and danger of both the numerous werewolf characters and the few vampires we meet. The were' and vamp' lore is pretty good too – the author manages convincing reasons why there aren't tons of weres and vamps everywhere, which is a nice change from a lot of similar fiction. I found myself wanting to be a werewolf, which is always a positive sign :P
