Description

The Monaco Grand Priz in May 2007 will see the 40th anniversary of Kiwi motor racing champion Denny Hulme′s win there in 1967, followed in August by the 30th anniversary of his victory at the German Grand Prix at Nurburgring – two of the most demanding races on the calendar that year.

It was also the year of his most successful season when he won the world championship for the Repco-Brabham team with 51 points from team owner Jack Brabham, who finished with 46 points.

The book will tell the story of Denny Hulme, affectionately known as The Bear for his gruff manner and no-nonsense personal style. The last of our Kiwi Big 3 classic Formula 1 racing Champions, it will complete our internationally successful trilogy of racing biographies. Written with first hand knowledge and personal experience, and both a foreword and introduction by Sir Jackie Stewart and Sir Jack Brabham, Memories of the Bear will be another compelling story for fans of Formula 1 who want to relive and celebrate the achievements of one of New Zealand′s most successful drivers.
