Since Joëlle Thomson graduated from journalism school at Wellington Polytechnic, she has worked as a television copywriter, flambé-waitress, barmaid and print journalist in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Since 1994, she’s had a regular weekly wine column in a variety of newspapers as well as working in magazines including FQ Entertaining, SHE, Cleo, The Australian Woman’s Weekly and NZ Home & Entertaining. Wine writer for The New Zealand Herald as well as writing regularly for Air New Zealand Magazine, Urbis and other publications. Member of the British-based Circle of Wine Writers, she has judged wine and food competitions in NZ.
