5 stars "AMAZING!"

Yes this is book 11 in the amazing series of Drizzt Do'Urden, but it is also book 1 in the ‘Sellswords’ trilogy about Artemis Entreri and Jarlaxle. I almost find myself enjoying reading about Artemis more than i do about Drizzt. Im nearing the end of the 3rd book in the Sellswords trilogy and i absolutely love them. I have read up to the end of The Pirate King (latest Drizzt book) and wish i had read the Sellswords trilogy first. So definately make sure you read this trilogy (#1 The Silent Blade, #2 The Promise of the Witch-King, #3 The Road of the Patriarch) as you wont be sorry. I've now come to love Jarlaxle's character just as mush as Drizzt and Artemis thanks to this series. Its a must read, especially before you get to the ‘Transitions’ trilogy of Drizzt books.

Description

When the vile Crystal Shard once again reveals itself, Drizzt must race against his most formidable enemies in hopes of destroying it before it finds the one being that can help it enslave the world: a dark elf named Jarlaxle. Winner of the Origins Award for best game-related novel of 1998, "The Silent Blade" marked the return of Drizzt to the wind-swept tundra of the Forgotten Realms world. This deluxe reissue features a new Todd Lockwood cover and an introduction from "The New York Times" best-selling author Philip Athans, who has served as Salvatore's editor for almost a decade, starting with the original release of this book.
