Sixteen weeks ago I signed up to walk a half marathon. I then thought crap, now how do I train for it? I did a google search and found this book.
I was rapt that Mighty Ape has this in stock and quicker than I could say half marathon, I ordered the book and within 48 hours it landed on my doorstep.
I would highly recommend this book to people who want to complete a half marathon but do not know where to start. There are six training programmes that are ideal for those that want to walk it (me) to beginner runners.
The book does all the thinking for you and outlines a 14 week programme. It covers all the important topics, such as hydration, practicing event routines, walking on the course and tapering.
I am excited to say that today I completed my first half marathon with a smile on my face. This book helped me cross the finish line. If you are thinking about doing a half marathon and your a novice get this book!!
