Description

For the first time in 40 years, the man wrongly convicted of the Crewe Murders breaks his silence to tell the full story.

A NEW WITNESS COMES FORWARD: “Dear Ian, I have had information since 1970 that I have been far too frightened to release. I made an effort to inform the Police in 1970 and spoke to a Sergeant Johnston … he told me that if I ever rang the Police with that information again or made any attempt to have it made known then I would be the next bastard found in the river”

Award-winning investigative journalist Ian Wishart hunts down significant new leads, and for the first time, Arthur Allan Thomas describes his arrest, his years behind bars and his life since release - an incredible, never-before-told story...

5 stars "A must read for anyone with a sense of justice"

Confirms what many people suspect ......that this is another of the many miscarriages of justice in this country …well researched by an author who has an insatiable thirst for the truth.

5 stars "An excellent book to read."

I enjoyed reading about the thomas case, after reading i've come to the conclusion there were several persons who could have done this terrible crime.i do agree there should be an independent inquiry.it was a well written book thanks…

5 stars "An excellent and well researched book"

When the law in any country and those who are given the extreme powers to administer it is compromised in any way, the results are serious.
This book points up enough evidence to give cause for real concern. Is it a one of situation, or the tip of an iceburg ? Only a major independant inquiry can give the reassurance required. The problems highlighted are way bigger than just the wrong man going to jail, as bad as that is. Justice was compromised and perhaps still is every day. I do not want to believe that, or live never realy knowing. mrh.
